Raw Honey: Altai Chaga + Buckwheat


Raw, unpasteurised Altai buckwheat honey with Altai Chaga.

Buckwheat honey is said to have greater antioxidant activity than Manuka, and equivalent antibacterial activity. Altai buckwheat in particular, is potent due to the environmental conditions of the Altai region – one of the most ecologically clean places on earth. Blending Altai Chaga with the malty, caramel-like flavour of buckwheat, provides for a very pleasant earthy, sweetness and further reinforces the antioxidant value of the honey. Chaga-buckwheat honey is extremely rich in polyphenols and due to its high levels of zinc and manganese, can assist in shielding against oxidative damage - which may to help slow the aging of cells.

You can eat chaga-buckwheat honey straight off the spoon, add to oats, pancakes, smoothies, yoghurt (frozen is best), warm nut milks or simply hot water. You could even try using it in a hot toddy with a good quality whiskey, slice of orange and pinch of cinnamon!

Each jar contains ~200 g of honey. 

Add 1/2-1 tsp to black coffee, green tea or hot water. Try supercharging the honey by adding a little Shilajit. Alternatively, you can eat straight off the spoon, add to smoothies, porridge, yoghurt or fruit.
