Shilajit – Altai Pure Activated 25g

£36.99

Known as the "Black gold" of Ayurveda, Shilajit is formed over a very long period of time - it’s a result of the degradation of microbial plant-life that has been pressurized by rock.

As the rocks of the Altai mountains heat up, this black gold exudes from the cracks. It is then collected and filtered to remove impurities, before being used as a health supplement. But it’s not a new discovery by any means; Shilajit has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years.

Shilajit is an adaptogen - Rich in minerals, as well as fulvic and humic acids, triterpenes and phospholipids. It’s known as “The destroyer of weakness”, which refers to its ability to revitalise - boosting/balancing energy, immunity, testosterone (and hormones in women) and sex drive. As a powerful antioxidant, Shilajit may also contribute to cognitive health, and also improve mood.

Pure Activated Shilajit Resin. Hand harvested and crafted by indigenous farming families in the Altai mountains of Siberia.

Take 250-500 mg daily. Always cycle the use of Shilajit. After 4-8 weeks of continued use, take a 4 weeks break.

Shilajit is best consumed by stirring into hot water/green tea or black coffee.

*The best way is to take a pea sized amount on a knife and stick it to the inside of a cup of green tea or black coffee. Stick it just below the water line and leave there for a couple of minutes, so it softens and begins to dissolve. Then, using the knife, gently rub back and forth against the side of the cup until it completely dissolves.

How to measure Shilajit:
100 mg = 1 rice grain
500 mg = 1 green pea

Not recommended if you're pregnant or breastfeeding.
