What is Black Seed Oil?
Imported from Egypt, One Life Foods Black Seed Oil is virgin cold pressed from the highest quality Egyptian nigella sativa seed. This seed is packed with thymoquinone, a compound which has been shown to have cancer-fighting powers. In rats, it shrank tumours and slowed their growth as well as protected tissue from radiation damage.
What are the benefits?
As well as the above, black seed oil is high in antioxidants and has endless benefits for health which include the treatment of asthma and various skin conditions, lowering blood sugar and cholesterol levels, aiding in weight loss, diabetes, inflammation, cough, headaches, eczema, fever, dizziness, the flu and protecting brain health... to name a few.
Other Information
At One Life Foods we only claim genuine levels of actives — listing Thymoquinone percentage as a stand alone quinone, and not listing as a percentage which includes other forms (e.g. dithymoquinone, thymohydroquinone and even thymol). This gives you a true percentage figure; not a spurious marketing claim.
We test for other important monoterpenes, including p-cymene, alpha-pinene, beta-pinene, limonene, alpha-terpinene and gamma-terpinene, thymohydroquinone, carvacrol and longifolene. We are the only U.K. brand to do so.
Lab tested by ILAC MRA accredited laboratory: ILAC is the international organisation for accreditation bodies operating in accordance with ISO/IEC 17011.
How do you take it?
Take 1 teaspoon daily, for general health purposes. For topical uses, black seed oil can also be massaged onto the skin. We advise you avoid heating it to preserve the nutrients. Because of its strong taste, you may want to mix it with some
honey.
