Overview
A full-spectrum Shilajit resin sourced from the Mongolian Altai Mountains, naturally rich in fulvic and humic substances alongside a broad spectrum of trace minerals.
Formed across varied terrain including mineral-rich and volcanic environments, it represents a complex natural matrix of organic and mineral compounds.
This is a true resin, not a powder or extract, analysed using IHSS-aligned methods to prioritise accurate composition over inflated figures.
- Resin format, not processed extract
- Selected for compositional balance and consistency
- Built around full matrix preservation
Background
Shilajit forms over time through the decomposition of plant material under specific environmental conditions, resulting in a dense, mineral-rich substance.
The Mongolian Altai Mountains produce a distinct and balanced Shilajit profile, shaped by varied terrain, mineral-rich geology, and diverse regional flora. Formation across both volcanic and mineral environments contributes to a more even distribution of organic and mineral components.
This results in a Shilajit with a smoother, more moderate character, sitting between more intense and more astringent regional variants.

Composition / Structure
Shilajit is a naturally occurring matrix rather than a single compound.
It includes:
- Fulvic acid and related organic compounds
- Humic substances
- Trace minerals in ionic forms
- Dibenzo-alpha-pyrones and associated metabolites
The interaction between these components defines the material more than any single isolated value.

Mineral Composition
Shilajit is often associated with claims of “80+” or “85+” trace minerals. While commonly referenced, these figures are not consistently supported across different analytical methods or sources.
The mineral composition of Shilajit varies naturally depending on geological conditions, regional flora, and formation processes over time. Trace elements may appear in differing concentrations, and results can vary depending on how they are measured.
Mongolian Shilajit is selected for its balanced composition, where mineral and organic components exist in a more even relationship, rather than being defined by isolated numerical values.
Beyond Fulvic Acid
Shilajit is often reduced to a single metric, typically fulvic acid percentage. This provides only a partial view.
Its value lies in the interaction between its organic and mineral components, not in one isolated number.
A well-preserved matrix reflects:
- Balance between fulvic and humic substances
- Presence of naturally occurring minerals
- Integrity of the original material

Analytical Standard
This product is analysed using methods aligned with the International Humic Substances Society (IHSS), considered a reference standard for distinguishing fulvic and humic fractions.
IHSS-based analysis separates these components based on molecular characteristics, rather than relying on simpler methods that can overestimate values.
This approach prioritises accuracy and transparency over headline figures.
Processing / Production

- Shaped by a harsh and fluctuating climate, contributing to its overall composition
- Influenced by regional flora and seasonal variation over time
- Supplied in line with UK standards
How It Compares
- Resin format vs powders or capsules
- IHSS-aligned analysis vs simplified testing methods
- Full matrix composition vs isolated metrics
- Balanced profile vs lighter or more intense variants
Compare with:
- Altai Shilajit – cleaner, more mineral-forward
- Hunza Shilajit – lighter, more refined composition
- Kashmiri Shilajit – deeper, more astringent profile
Sensory Profile
- Mild, slightly earthy aroma
- Smoother, less astringent taste
- Medium viscosity with semi-gloss appearance
- Dark brown to black colour when dissolved
Dissolves readily in warm liquid, consistent with its natural composition.

FAQs
What does Mongolian Shilajit taste like?
Milder and smoother than more astringent variants, with a balanced mineral profile characteristic of its composition.
How do you take Shilajit resin?
Shilajit resin is typically dissolved in warm water or milk and taken in small amounts. Its resin form allows for flexible dosing compared to fixed-dose capsules or powders.
How long should Shilajit be taken for?
Usage varies depending on individual preference. Some choose to use it continuously, while others cycle use as part of a broader routine.
Is Mongolian Shilajit different from other types?
Yes. Its composition reflects the environmental conditions of the Mongolian Altai region, resulting in a more balanced profile compared to more intense or more astringent variants.
Can it be combined with other supplements?
Yes, it is often used alongside other products as part of a broader routine.
How should it be stored?
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain consistency and quality.
Where is this product shipped from?
This product is supplied from within the UK, with stock held domestically for reliable delivery.
Important Information
Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.
Pure activated Mongolian Altai Shilajit resin. Hand harvested in the foothills of Munkh Khairkhan.
Take 250-500 mg daily. Always cycle the use of Shilajit. After 4-8 weeks of continued use, take a 4 weeks break.
Shilajit is best consumed by stirring into hot water/green tea or black coffee.
*The best way is to take a pea sized amount on a knife and stick it to the inside of a cup of green tea or black coffee. Stick it just below the water line and leave there for a couple of minutes, so it softens and begins to dissolve. Then, using the knife, gently rub back and forth against the side of the cup until it completely dissolves.
How to measure Shilajit:
100 mg = 1 rice grain
500 mg = 1 green pea
Not recommended if you're pregnant or breastfeeding.
